To begin, you’ll go to this web page, http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Installing_Sims_3_Package_Files/Setup_and_Files and follow these instructions.

1. Scroll all the way down until you find this, and click download.

2. It’ll download instantly. It should be called “FrameworkSetup.zip”. If it is, drag/drop it onto your desktop.

3. Extract it. If you don’t have an extractor, I recommend using Keka. When you extract it, a folder called “Mods” will appear.

4. Inside of it, you’ll see Overrides, Packages, and Resource.cfg. Ignore them ALL except Packages.

5. If you want to, when you look inside Packages, you’ll see two things already in there, NoBuildSparkles.package and nointro.package.

6. Now, do the following:

a. Go into documents

b. Open Electronic Arts

c. Open The Sims 3

d. Find an empty slot and drag/drop the Mods folder there.

To make sure that the mod folder works, do a test run.

Run Sims. Press play, and if there is no intro (like when it shows EA and a Plumbob over it), then you’ve done everything correctly, and your game is ready for CC!

6. Now, you’re gonna go to the top link in the description if you want my CC. (If not, scroll down farther for the other way to get CC)

7. Find CC that you like, and click “Download Package”. Then what you’d do is,

a. Open the mods folder.

b. Open “Packages”.

c. Drag/drop the package into the folder.

8. Now, to see if it works, run Sims and head into C-A-S. (Create a Sim). Scroll through the items until you find something with a different thumbnail then the normal Store Content or Base Game Content. You’ll know if it’s CC if you switch to “Show Custom Content Only” and items appear there.
